Wedding Cake Pricing
The famous question of ‘How much’? Unfortunately, there is no set price to provide up front. Prices are calculated around the complexity of the design, the number of servings, any extra materials, as well as, specialty requested flavor(s). To give you an idea of a price range, it averages around $4.50 - $5 per serving for a simple design. Informing us of your budget will help us make sure we can make your desired cake.
Cakes
Cakes start with each tier of being 4 inches tall and filled with a layer(s) of delicious flavor! They have buttercream icing as the main coverage decorated with fondant/ sugarpaste accents. Fondant coverage can be requested for additional cost; however, some designs may require a fondant coverage to give you the design of your dreams.
Groom's Cakes
A groom’s cake is a great way to give or let your groom have “his” cake too. They are usually a fun unique design ranging from sculpted edible work of art featuring his likes to as simple as favorite flavor cake. Bring your ideas, we love the challenge!
Design
All of our cakes are made to order. You can provide inspirational photos, browse through my portfolio, or we can design something unique for you. Keep in mind, any cakes ordered from a photo of a cake may not be able to be replicated; we can use those ideas and design your one-of-kind cake.
Serving Sizes
Serving sizes are based off a 1"x 2"x 4" traditional wedding serving guideline. The top tier is not included in the total amount of servings needed unless requested. 0If your full serving size is not obtainable in any cakes sizes, Kitchen Cakes are offered to make up the difference. Kitchen Cakes are sheet cakes with buttercream coverage with no design and charged at a flat rate (not per serving). They can be split and filled to match the main cake flavor/filling for an additional fee.
Number of Servings Needed
If you are having a plated seated dinner and are serving each guest a piece of cake, we recommend ordering enough cake for each guest. If your guests will be serving their selves from the cake table, we recommend ordering 75% of your highest guest count. If you have multiple dessert options to choose from, we recommend ordering 50% of your highest guest count.
Tasting Consultations
Tasting Consultation is a great way to find your cake flavors! You and a guest can participate in a 1-hour session to discuss your cake ideas and sample delicious cakes. For this session, you can choose up to three flavors of cake and filling combinations (Flavors Page). If there is a flavor that is not mentioned and you would like to try, let us know, we would be happy to make it if possible!
Consultations start at $65 for two, additional guests are $10 each. If you do decide to place your order, the tasting fee will be applied towards your final balance for orders over $300.
If a face-to-face consultation is not feasible but still would like to have a taste, cakes and icings can be purchased separately. $15 per flavor for a three-serving cake or $20 for a 6 serving cake.
Ordering
Two months’ notice is preferred with any wedding or large orders; however, we highly recommend letting us know your date as soon as you know, so we can tentatively schedule your date. All orders require a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit to guarantee your order. Deposits are at least 50% of the final cost and is due 1 week after the quote is given unless noted otherwise. We might be able to accommodate an order at a shorter notice depending on availability.
Deposit and Payments
Once the details of your order are confirmed, a contract will be emailed or mailed with the quote details and the corresponding payment due dates. The contract will need to be signed and returned along with your initial non-refundable and non-transferable deposit one week from the day the quote was offered. FINAL payment is due one week before your event date.
Payments can be accepted through cash/money order, direct transfer or credit card (with an additional 3% processing fee). All payments must clear by the due date. Payment arrangements are available if needed.
Changes to Order
You will have up to 2 weeks before the day of your event to make any changes (serving size, colors, style, etc.) or to cancel. Any changes could affect the final cost and will be adjusted within the final payment.
Cancellation
If your order is cancelled 2 weeks from the final due date, or by the pre-arranged date, you will receive a full refund of any payments made except for the agreed upon deposit and or retainer fee. If your order is canceled within one 1 week of the due date, no refund.
If your order is cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen event, such as, weather, illness, or other, we will try to accommodate these changes at no additional charge, provided sufficient notice is given and that we can offer the order for new occasion date. This is not GUARENTEED. If we are unable to accommodate your new date, keep in mind, deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
If your order is cancelled by the business due to unforeseen events such as weather, illness, or other, all payments will be refunded, and we will try to find another local baker to assist, if their availability allows.
Delivery / Pick-up
Delivery is required wedding orders and will be applied to the initial quote. I would hate to see something happen to your order during the transit. If you wish to pick up your order, a waiver of acknowledgment will need to be signed by the responsible party. We are not responsible for any damages that may occur due once it leaves the bakery.
Delivery fee starts at $5 and covers the first 15 miles from Columbus, OH 43228. Any additional miles are $.50 per mile, roundtrip.
Set Up and Serving
If you would like us to set up the Display Table such as arranging your order, adding decorations, fabric, etc., there is a $10 initial charge, plus time and any other materials needed to complete the set up.
We don't serve the cake but will provide cutting guidelines to ensure your maximum servings are met.
